We had really good weather and a great turnout of over 50 volunteers (including a lot of children) for our Spring Clean along the Brook. We collected enough rubbish to fill Rushmoor’s collection vehicle! This time we found the usual shopping trolley, road signs and cones but no bicycles. It’s very satisfying to collect such a lot but disappointing when you think it could have all been deposited appropriately.
Esso has contacted us to advise of a non-statutory public consultation for the Southampton to London Pipeline Project. The consultation period begins on 19th March 2018 and ends on 30th April 2018, lasting for a period of six weeks. Their intention is to replace 90km of the 105km aviation fuel pipeline that runs from their Fawley Refinery near Southampton to their West London Terminal storage facility in Hounslow. This initial consultation will help select the preferred corridor for the replacement pipeline, part of which currently runs close to Cove Brook.
